i own a 2001 Lincoln town car executive series l with just shy of 400 thousand . i recently chained both timing chains , the gears and slack adjusters , intake manifold , valve cover gaskets and groument’s . then both catalytic converters , exhaust manifolds both sides and all new parts in rear end . all dealers parts only upper and lower ball joints , tie rods inner and outer everything in front end .i use motor-craft synthetic 5 w-30 every 2000 miles and filter and i must say at 2000 miles oil is like water . but i have two other friends who have limo business with over 800 ,000 on one limousine and yet another friend with over 600.000 miles both on original equipment . my 2001 was all highway miles , and my motor and transmission run’s very strong . i replaced all 8 coil packs and plugs , if you purchase coil packs from dealer for 45.00 they come with a 2 year warranty , which most dealers won’t tell you that but its true .i flush my transmission 2 times a year for around 150.00 , when you flush it you get 99 % of everything out from torque converter and transmission and replace filter / verses just changing filter and fluid . then you drive limousine for around 5 miles and pull dip stick you will notice fluid smells and is dirty all over again , because of all the metal chips and dirty fluid in torque converter .
